Moonlit Hours

"moonlit hours" through echoing halls I walk in times of moonlit hours peacefully and beautifully one man sleeps through the night peeking in I enter slowly and quietly making certain all is right to my amazement I'm experiencing illumination of a delicate kind for all that shines comes from the light outside peering through the pane the only sound is from a radio as the song "to where you are" gently plays in my mind I'm thinking and longing to stay but time does not permit this wish words that come to mind are "now I lay me down to sleep" as I witness from afar as I entered slowly and quietly I leave slowly and quietly knowing I've been blessed never again will this moment appear or duplicate to such beauty and eloquence thankful am I this moonlit hour of extraordinary lighting sound and peace SkyWatcher 03-31-17 several years back when I was working and doing rounds I came across this room and scene I will never forget the beauty I witnessed in sight and sound I was blessed

Back to re-read a really good one. : ) "never again will this moment appear or duplicate to such beauty" = it is a good thing that we are capable of noticing and appreciating such things. Life isn't always pretty or fun, and those moonlit hours help to compensate.

Doug Doug Doug. You are something. Thank you so much for returning Yes, life isn't always pretty or fun, how true that is. It truly was just a beautiful moment witnessing the man safely and peacefully sleeping, the amazing lighting coming through the windowpane and yes the soft gentle music of Josh Groban singing "To Where You Are". I so wanted to stay but couldn't. Have a wonderful morning and day Doug and thank you once again.

Hi Lisa! I am traveling this weekend ... but did write (& read). This is delightful & directly inspires my next poem (to be posted, today). While I see U, like Michelangelo, focuses on DAVID yet unborn in art as he looked at granite/marble, others see their own connections. Great writing to capture a "beauty" minute. (Wink, wink: why were U looking at that man, sleeping, & gosh! U were tiptoeing in his room). Anil Deo

Lisa, I got chills when I read the title - I *knew* this one would be good. You are a gentle, open, giving, loving soul, and I am touched. "never again will this moment appear" !! Yes, and the recognition and appreciation of that greatly adds to our lives.

Doug Doug Doug. Wow. Words can not express my appreciation for such a review intake and commentary. I am speechless. It is my hope that my work and entry are deserving of it all. It truly was a special and a one in a million moment to witness and experience. I am blessed to have been there at that very moment especially too when the music was playing softly in the background. Lo and behold, and it was held! From this I can tell that you were obviously a nurse, and therefore would have witnessed many different occurrences in your time. Such a pleasure to read this on this sunny morning!

Lisa, oh my, you have painted a serene evening scene in soft glowing colors that waft upon my eyes and my mind as I read this afternoon. Like a lullaby your words soothe and comfort in quiet melodic breaths as the reader becomes one with the poetic setting. This was as enchanting as it was amazing. Beautifully crafted my friend.

Dear Chris. Thank you ever so much. I was just about to close the computer for the night but glad I was able to see this review. You have no idea of the beauty I witnessed. I feel blessed. The lighting only from outside the window the only sound of the song "to where you are" playing softly in the background. There are no words as to its beauty. I wanted to stay forever but I couldn't because I had to complete my rounds. Thank you for such a beautiful review to enhance this entry. Honestly Chris. Have a wonderful night as well.
