           Painting by Lin Lane
Mauve, the sky's eerie cloud covering Wolves howled throughout the night No loons or wise owls were hovering Moonlight's glow was a shade of pink A tree, long barren and believed dead bloomed perfumed buds, but not a leaf What strange phenomena was taking place? Should I be filled with the wonder of magic, or with fear that this night was to be tragic?

Lin, this has suspense and reflects your wonderful style. We have trees here that do exactly this so it seems not so strange to me. They're known as redbud or Circis Canadensis. It is spooky how they have such small delicate flowers before showing any leaves. On the other hand, maybe something spooky is going on. It would not surprise me if it were. Smiles!!

Dear Lin, your vision is alive with that painter’s wonder-mauve sky, pink moon, a tree’s impossible bloom. You capture the strangeness and beauty of a world on the edge of magic, where awe and unease mingle. You are a talented lady who has so many gifts. Spring Blessings, My Dear Lin, Daniel

Ink, it's about time that you paint again. I've only been aiming you in that direction for months. I don't want to threaten you with a bat like I did Danny, so take out those brushes and paint. I am nothing more of an artist than amateur. I profess to dabble and that's for my own pleasure, so thank you for liking my blossomed tree and the words written of its character. ;-)

I like your 'bloomed perfect buds' - it sounds resonant. The word, 'believed.'.. makes 'be-leaved' come to mind in this fantasy setting. I like questions in poems. The sounds and the colours make a magical mood. J :)

Thank you, an awful lot, for your thoughtful comments, J. Seems we both wrote with color orientation this morning.

Thank you, Anne-Lise. I'm not sure where the thought for this one came to me. lol It's not my usual style or color, but like poetry... we write or paint what we see or feel.
