"NOW IT CAME TO PASS THAT THEY WENT TO A VILLAGE WHERE THERE WAS A WOMAN NAMED MARTHA WHO RECEIVED THEM INTO HER HOUSE. SHE HAD A SISTER NAMED MARY WHO SAT AT JESUS' FEET. MARTHA WAS CUMBERED ABOUT MUCH SERVING AND SHE SAID 'LORD DOST THOU NOT CARE THAT MY SISTER HAST LEFT ME TO SERVE ALONE? BID HER THEREFORE THAT SHE HELP ME." AND JESUS ANSWERED HER AND SAID,' MARTHA, MARTHA , THOU ART TROUBLED ABOUT MANY THINGS; BUT ONE THING IS NEEDFUL AND MARY HATH CHOSEN THAT GOOD PART WHICH SHALL NOT BE TAKEN FROM HER." Luke 10:38-42
You bring yourself with you wherever you go.
Whatever you're thinking your countenance shows.
It permeates your demeanor not just your face.
Your whole body joins in to state your case.
If you feel downhearted and your mood is blue,
It shows in your posture right down to your shoes.
If you're stressed, feeling pressed and you're pushed, in a hurry,
It's not hard to see that you're in a hurry.
If you're angry and grumpy and mad at the world,
Your face has more wrinkles than a poodle's got curls.
Take your mood for a walk, slow down, smell the flowers.
Relax and stop counting the minutes and hours.
Notice the beauty that surrounds you each day.
The beauty of Nature and young things at play.
Life is what you make it from minute to minute.
It's whatever effort that you put in it.
Be glad for the blessings that God has made yours,
And stop frowning at stains on windows and floors.
Just make serving God the first thought in your head,
And you'll sleep well and happy when you go to bed.
