Monk

M onk may be a little odd,
I n a TV show.
S till, he's the kind of person
T hat we all need to know.
E ven with his foibles, he
R eally seems to glow.

M any of us ponder
O n where he gets his dough.
N evertheless, we still
K eep watching TV show.

Thanks. I do not write a lot of acrostics, because they are hard to write and make any sense.

Thanks so very much. I have only been on the site a very short time and am just thrilled that my poem placed in the contest. Sorry for the delay in responding, but for some reason, the site has stopped sending me comment notifications.

Thanks. You really should check it out. It is a wonderful series that went a long way toward understanding people with emotional disabilities. Also, it is FUNNY! Tony Shalhoub is just brilliant.
