Mom Sent a Sign
I will have eyes on you from heaven Mom said.
I felt comforted by this, thinking cardinals of red.
Messengers are sent from heaven every day. Right?
Cardinals did not come, they stayed out of sight.
Asking Mom daily for a sign, I began to get impatient.
She was in no hurry, her own ways totally patient.
A buckeye butterfly came to me in the summer and lit.
On my finger, with eyes from heaven. I about had a fit!
