Modesty

Modesty is no virtue when it comes to love. Love should be worn brightly~ daily! Nightly! Shouted loudly! – Boldly! Let love's many voices Sound~ Rebounding heart-felt joyful echos – Sing love's lovely delight! Shake the earth with together vibration; let the universe hear love's clear clamor – let fly amorous moon-beams – let stars' starry eyes open wide to the sweet dear call of comforting nestle – let love be the body's spiritual vessel All depends on love's, dreamy, gleam-y, creamy honey flow – the child, needing love if healthily, affectionately to grow – the blossom needing love if to dazzle, wink, make flowery show – love must be freed, if love to charmingly glow...if a heart to ever another heart intimately know –

Wow, I feel the depth, power and potency of the love you carry in your heart ! It waits to flow breaking all boundaries! Love should flow freely with no inhibitions . Any one will be swept off the feet in the current of your love. Like a torrent, let it flow. Into my FAVE.

Hi Valsa; thank you. This is the most charming and wonderful comment I have ever read. In the true spirit of the poem! Love may not fly at the supermarket, may not buy a new car or pay the rent...but it will give one immortality and a chance at eternal joy. The only token accepted at the gates of Heaven.

Great words. Yes, sing it out, but what of unrequited love ? Equally all-consuming, but with a proverbial sting in the tail.

Hi Peter; thank you. For sure, unrequited love can be very painful. Heartbreaking. Don't think one can protect one's self from such sting, for the alternative is, not to feel such depth at all.... Or mildly feel -- do not think that works well for poetics in particular.

I love love. Always singing around the house, a typical Italian. Love songs, certo! Love opera, Rodolfo and Mimi! Always wishing she would live for once, and they would then hit the lottery and get a glorious mansion, overlooking the sea.

Totally agree with this beautiful poem Joe. True, pure, undeniable love knows no shame. Its splendid and amazing and should be worn like a bright, shiny, gold badge for all to see. The pride of having love that's true is priceless and should be displayed as an example of what can be. Loved your poem.
