Missing You Elvis, Sun Records
16th of August 2022 45 years ago
Elvis Presley Died.
I’ll always think of you
now I’m wild in the country,
you know I’m just a poor boy
in Memphis Tennessee,
lonely without my lover doll,
trying to patch it up,this life!
Paralyzed I am, yet please
tell me why, when one night
with you in the ghetto,
when my blue moon turns to gold again
leaves me all shook up.
I know! It’s the wonder of you
not only your blue suede shoes
but your burning love,that gives
me no time to reconsider baby.
Hope! You’ll always
wear my ring, I’m sure you know
I’m playing for keeps,
so, baby let’s play house
no one sided love affair here,
because you’re young and beautiful
and that’s alright when the
next step is love, especially
without suspicious minds.
No Heartbreak Hotel, for us
just a promise of Love me tender,
Whilst loving you.
SUN RECORDS
still missing you
so much joy in the fifties
how can one forget
a teenager and Memphis
good old Sam, there for them all.
