    Miss Friday, 
    is desperate to avoid being forgotten
    She is a caring and kindhearted woman
    If someone asks her age,
    she will answer with a lie (of course)
    It is not a crime to tell white lies
    To turn one feather into five hens is to exaggerate
    - a trifle into a big deal
    Never pluck feathers

    We all feel that the weekend is too short
    time flies as a arrow
    She will enrich your day with humor
    never doubt that it will please you
    There will be no performance
    Dance your way, let worries fade away
    Life will be boring without her ...
    admit it

Such a delightful and wonderful write painting smiles on my face my dear poet friend Anne-lise. I love TGIF and how I wish everyday is and I wish to always have a long weekend too, but it's really impossible. Weekend flies like an arrow. I love your poem and enjoyed immensely. Thanks for the cute picture and personification of Friday. I no longer have a growing family, nor do I work but even still I love "Miss Friday". The weekend is the same as the rest of the week, but I just like the feel of Friday. Sara K

Lordy, lordy, oh me, the line "she will enrich your life with humor" flickered a fear in me that you were writing about yourself, because you do that, gift giggles. I quickly realize that you realize, as I do, there are no words, except the one line, that represent you. She's a unique one, Ms. Friday, maybe too happy - I suspect she takes something! CayCay

I am well aware, lived the 'is it Friday yet life' for 35 years, aka had a clock up my ..... One gift the Fall season of life does bring is having that clock removed. CayCay
