Mirror, Mirror
Mirror, Mirror on the wall
The pledge that you made
With the words you say
Are as frigid and destitute
As a brand new grave
All the while you used your words
To keep me with you
Forever and a day
What a discovery and enlightenment
This is.....knowing you could never give
Me the life I deserved
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Why didn’t you tell me
That I would be submerged in love
With someone who only loved me
On a surface degree
And now all I have
Is my insecurities and self-pity
The illusion of the mirror has brought
Me nothing but strife, anger and misery
Because the reflection was only what I wanted my marriage to be.
Mirror mirror on the wall
You told me the greatest lie of all
That I was never his fairest of them all
