Minutes To Midnight
The scientists claim were minutes away,
from the strike of midnight meaning our doomsday,
gazing up toward heaven I notice the moon and the clouds,
as my guardian angel stands by not making a sound,
And as I go through my daily routine maze,
at times peering through the mosaic internet haze,
knowing that adage that history often repeats itself,
pondering who controls the wars and all of the wealth,
Knowing full well only God knows when our time will be up,
He reveals in His scriptures signs of it sure enough,
utopia we had but lost in the garden of eden,
peace I'll strive to keep until my own heart stops beating.
