Minced Words
How can I do without mincing words
I have to deal with you
To delay dimple in dews
To deposit my desires in your milieu
To bring out your spectrum of hues
And then only
I can present you before the connoisseurs
Who wait for elegance and euphony
Who make intense scrutiny
Of assonance and metaphors
How come then I will avoid mincing
This plain straight jacket clichéd word
Worn out by everyday use through aeon
Hence the glistening knife of restless neurons
Hence the laser to hone the shape and size
Hence the file to smoothen the rough edges
This is the art of all the sages in millions of pages
You pick anyone from Shakespeare to Sylvia
Mincing of words all took as the principia
Instead of just black and white
Isn’t it better to have the bougainvillea
