Miles Away
Miles away
Facing east with my eyes closed
From miles away I smell salty air,
I can hear the crashing waves
My soul is wishing to be there.
The sunrise sparkles off the horizon
Beauty beholds this perfect day,
I opened my eyes praying for sand
And found myself still miles away.
My soul had left me a message
The note said he had to run
Your day dreaming miles away
While I am at the beach having fun.
