Midnight Romance

Romance stirs in the midnight crimson glow, on a patch of Ash of Roses Absinthe. Blind with passionate love the petals go, encircle a halo without absence. Breathless, underneath the coppice and heath, where nature plays, drinking in her beauty, her obsidian long locks swirl beneath her shoulders, and echoes, whose sweet duty. Struck by her ivory, porcelain skin and alluring pale cerulean eyes. When I touch, I then begin thoughts of sin; tendrils of sable charcoal smoke arise. Dreams can come true with just one tender kiss placed upon thy red lips, rapturous bliss. 10/13/2017 Poetry Contest: MIDNIGHT ROMANCE CONTEST Sponsored by: Dale Gregory Cozart HowManySyllables.com Ashes(or Ash) of Roses Absinthe- Cerulean – Charcoal – Crimson - Ivory – Obsidian – Porcelain- Sable- Smoke

Wow, what a brilliant write here my friend! I really loved the line, "tendrils of sable charcoal smoke arise," that line not only encompasses three of the required words, but it showers the reader with vivid imagery of what exactly you were going for, Great Work Eve!!

I always am impressed by poets who are able to write a sonnet (in itself difficult enough), while also including a list of mandatory words.... You pulled it off and I admire you for it. Good luck in the contest :)
