Midnight Pearl

Midnight beckons dusk's last light with distant whispers of heart's desire. Into the corners of darkest night, Midnight beckons dusk's last light. A brush of moonlight to excite, the precious pearl flames white fire. Midnight beckons dusk's last light with distant whispers of heart's desire. And if two souls embrace the night, lonely hearts may slowly unfurl. At strike of twelve, love will take flight under the glow of midnight pearl. * a triolet ending with a quatrain By Rhonda Johnson-Saunders, April 15, 2012 for Midnight Pearl contest (Russell Sivey)
