Half way through October, Small Poetry Contest

With mid- October, summer heat has come to an interim close. A sweet sensation creeps into every sinew as coolness pervades the air. Autumn wind, shaking the withering leaves, whistles, and blows. Trees once clad in green livery are stripped off and made bare. Now, the sun’s golden beams, a pallid shade resentfully wear.

O, that 'resentment.' I'd wish to see a better sentiment --- but you have portrayed it as it is... Sad, the passing of the season...

Your portrayal of mid-October is exquisitely rendered. The meticulously crafted and very well-positioned rhyme scheme enhances its beauty, forming a flawless Quintain. The imagery you have conjured is truly captivating, but it is the final line that truly steals the show, Valsa.

Great images in few words Valsa! I am so looking forward to autumn coolness. We don't see the trees change like other states, and many of our native trees look the same summer winter and fall. Cool weather is much anticipated where I live.

We are still in the best part of the fall, but I admire what is to come. Great imagery, dear Valsa. Blessings.
