Memories Recited
MEMORIES
as I awake
memories surface
muffled bells echo
across the square,
a requiem of
endless sounds and sighs
slowly brings a tear,
stripping each sense
of its veneer;
Eyes fill with tears;
heaving emotions re-align,
stories of yesteryears
recalled .Yet words,unheard
speak volumes;
buried deep in
long forgotten dreams,
echo to a distant horizon;
where layers of deep cloud
linger all day,and
depression cateracts
insight, on a trail of nows
on broken vows.
