It is now almost a year ago You took your bags and I watched you go I think this pain will never end You’re not just my mum but my best friend I know the pain that you went through For it’s hard to believe but I felt it too I know it is not all that bad I just can’t help getting sad I know quite well you had to leave I seem the only one who is to grieve But I remember our laughter and our tears The joys we still have and the fears I’m sad it had to turn out like this But at least you’re still near fr me to kiss When times get bad and I’m stuck You’re around for a great big hug Thanks for being a number one mum For when you need me I will come
