A Notional Ekphrasis in Alexandrine couplets.

Memento on the moon, our demise that’s too soon— since ancient moral laws, our reasoning had flaws. The Ten Commandments bold, the wisdom of old told, its light spread in a rush, but now collective hush. Man’s creation will bloom, like destructive mushroom casts the atomic streams over our shattered dreams. Echoes of progress vast – tyranny’s shadow cast, encapsulated whim in firmament now swim. The paradox of Man of should he if he can, or must he heed balance between greed and lost glance?

A lesson of mankind's image and decline, a subtle looking mushroom cloud brings more depth, I think, Suzette this one has me quite excited~

The ending, with the question, is profound and thought provoking, as mankind since forever has been full of greed, and has led to so many downfalls due to that! I must say in this not only the depth of what youv delivered but also assonance and wordplay and how youv articulated lines in such a catchy cadence is why this left me in awe! Admiring the beauty of your soulfully meaningful poem! Best wishes if for a contest! Sending you light always dear suzette!
