Mellow, Mini-Skirt Memoirs
Ah, the afternoons at the once upon a time, busy mall.
With my long auburn hair, large hoop earrings.
Add thigh high white boots, with dashing men, leering!
It was my favorite inner call.
Shopping for fine jewelry and intoxicating, imported cologne.
Meeting with dear friends at our favorite coffee shops.
Those scented with aromatic coffee and cinnamon, I about dropped.
So glorious those days, to not be lockdowned, at home alone!
Sadly, the years have passed far too soon, no mini-skirt, no boots?
Now writing poetry, alone is my new fancy.
Meeting handsome males is so very rare and so chancey.
But, on any night, I dream of them, under a flirtatious moon!
