A form of depression; melancholy
wraps around you like a shroud of sad thoughts.
And it's impossible to feel jolly;
your mind can no longer connect the dots
as gloomy feelings start calling the shots.
You get wistful and socially withdrawn;
in life’s game of chess, you feel like a pawn.
Overcome by sorrow, prospects look grim;
it's hard to find the will to press on,
for any chance of happiness seems slim.
