Meaningless Words

Listen to poem:
Take elsewhere on your tongue Ponder seldom being wrong Slip away where near is rare Battle lions in their lair Educate the underclass Run fingers over broken glass Tell time again and again Drink then drown in summer rain Fathom mysteries taking place Enter history, enter space Under books not inside Knowledge likes to lurk and hide Tremors of trains trundle on tracks Mixed up logic, heart attacks Simple times dictate the way Answers reveal in times of play Paths disappear as they are found Dutiful the unheard sound Favour those that tell a tale Keep your grip so tight on rail Fall over cues unclench fists It's possible we don't exist

If time is long enough and we get to come back often enough we could play the part of everybody. Well sung and well hung. Very artistically done. PS Our eldest daughter is expecting identical twin boys in August.

Feeling for the last one and its already been taken, thinking about hardly ever being mistaken. Love this. I oven wonder if I am alone on this earth and everything else is an illusion in my mind.. Your poem just described that feeling to me.. Thank you for being one of my kind..

I know Dilly, who would want to be human lol! we live in an impossible cosmos, with all kinds of different realities at play, although I’m pretty sure we do exist, in fact I’d go further to say it’s the only possible way of observing, and giving meaning to the universal madness, nicely penned (meaningful) poem lol! Cheers David

It's grown on me this one, it feels quite lovely to say out loud for some reason too :) I like letting the sub conscious have a ride out every now and again, glad you liked it. The more I read it the more there is a distinct narrative. I'm happy with my own randomness - right now at least :) thank you for your supportive and explanatory words :)
