Meandering

Meandering
a speechless glee
allowing the dust of purpose
a cleansing breath
shedding the garment of time
playing hide and seek
with your shadow
no past – no future
only lazy footsteps
guiding you
in a wanderer’s waltz

Congratulations on your win! I really enjoyed reading your poem. It really captured the essence of meandering so well. I would love to simply 'meander' like this for awhile!

Ohhhh I love this sparkling gem filled with amazing images - "speechless glee," "dust of purpose," "Playing hide and seek with your shadow." You have really captured the essence of meandering and enjoying each step of the waltz. Your imagery is unique and fresh. Congratulations John. This is a fav for me.
