There are everywhere hiding in sheep clothing one minute they sing you praise and the next they attack When a person values themselves above else they will not let a cruel remark cut them to the bone; They know where to hurt over to the tender part of you pulping words and judging with opinionated spurts they keep you bubbling; Regain control walk away from mean people don't hang on for the sake of family or friendship; never give in to their lies mean, is what mean does mean, is what mean says it has to die, if goodness is to survive. June 22, 2019

Mystic Rose, I feel people are mean when the feel threatened, or if they are jealous. I certainly don't like mean nasty people, I agree with you 100%. Be well dear poetry sis, and keep writing your wonderful Poetry - similar happened to us with friends for over 50 years in the family (2 generations) and then a volcano erupted, sad, but we did nothing to evoke it, so no guilt felt on our part. by the way I love your new avatar Jen. Sometimes, we try and try and try, but sometimes, its best to part. Thank you for your kind visit, sorry to hear about your old friends, somethings don't last, even after 50 years things can easily fall apart if respected is missing. ^^

No its a friendship of 30 years, and it has been 30 years of I love you and then hurtful things, I am finally letting it go. Its not worth it, Thank you for reaching out, much love :)

Those that have low self esteem tend to try and bring others down to their level. Which is sad. Keep praying for them and stay away. It is best. You have such a wonderful heart my dear friend. Thank you for being here, for being you. Hugs, Brandy

Thank you so much Brandy it means alot coming from you. I went to a store this morning to by some tank tops for summer , and one of them said, if you can't be anything else in this world, be kind " it sums it all up, much love :)

Hello Mystic Rose, Rose, yes there are mean people everywhere. They are also in families. One parent can be kind an wonderful to one child, and mean to the other. They are everywhere. It is best to stay away from them. Enjoy your day my friend.

My childhood was not a good one. I had a lovely wonderful mother and a horrible father. Any male talk show host was a father figure to me. Carrying a cup of coffee across the room was hard to do without being spilled. enjoy your evening my friend.Hugs.

Hello Mystic Rose,Rose, my father and never got along. He abused me with words that belittled me. I couldnot evenicarry a cup of coffee across the room with him staring ar me. i spilled the coffee and he yelled at me. Everry two weeks he would bring the spilt coffee up. it was horible.

Yes I have seen parents favoring one child over another more often then I would like to see. Its outright cruel, and the person who is shunned grows up to feel worthless and unloved, you are closer to the mark then you realize dear friend, thank you for your kind visit. :)

I have experienced what you wrote. Better to stay away. Sometime giving them back helps. I did once and felt I was sinning. But it helped. Good people end up tolerating.

Absolutely agree, Mystic. We simply don't need mean people in our lives. It is, however, sometimes very difficult to walk away or get away from them.

I believe most people who are "Mean" may be misunderstood too... probably too unsure of how to show their true emotions or thoughts or insights... probably giving off a "mean" spirit in place of the hurt they're actually feeling. Perhaps we can give them kindness in spite of their meanness so that we, maybe, teach them something of God's love. God bless you always, Love, Gina

I try and do just that most of the time, but when it reduces me to tears, I walk away, we can only do so much, I am not as good as God, though I try, I can feel your heart dear Gina, if everyone had that kind of attitude, this world would be a better place, don't ever change.
