Me Today
as you can...
Oh, how you hate me today,
I am just the mom.
I do the cooking and cleaning,
I do the laundry,
and all things the word;
ick, might one day describe.
But know this now,
as I pick up your crap,
that I would gladly do it again.
Not because I love the abuse,
but because...
I love you.
Your bright smile,
when I make cookies.
The way you laugh
when I surprise you.
I want to see you dance,
as if... only God is watching,
that I may know you are happy,
both outside... for all to see,
and inside, a heart set free.
You bite my head off,
and listen to everyone else.
But I am still praying...
God keep his angels all around you,
and his loving arms about you.
