Me First
Everyone's in a big rush to be somewhere else
Retired means, there's always later
Unless it's a serious matter of one's health
Or someone being bitten by an alligator
Maybe when a new babe is about to be born
This emergency trip can't be foiled
These wee guys demand immediate attention
Or in a big mess, you'll be embroiled
Other than those reasons, the crazies are loose
Cutting in, cutting you off with no care
Me first is the rule of the road these hairy days
Has the death of chivalry been declared
Oh well so be it, it's the way of the world today
Oh for the days of horse and carriage
Actually wasn't born back in the gay nineties
Mid-30s when Hitler began his rampage
Twas us against him and his destructive machine
But the good side won out in the end
Good over evil always wins out as is only right
Till this evil man was finally found dead
Got a bit little away from the crazies on the road
Sorry about that my sincere apologies
Mind tends to wander at times, have trouble also
Get up, brush my ears, comb my knees
