Me
I was waiting for the clothes to be finished in the dryer.
All those thoughts are scrubbing against me.
I have a blue shirt on.
They put it there.
I’m begging to wear those jeans that I saw on sale.
My legs are too long so I got them hemmed.
My body falls apart in the wash.
My legs got even longer and longer and longer.
I sat on the porch with the swing and sit on the ground instead.
I wish the outside ground was better.
It is but only when you rest your head in your arms.
The sandwich on my plate.
Is more than enough, forever.
The person on the roof while it rains.
Is more like me than I remember.
