May Your Pain Be Eased
I see tears rolling in your eyes, wouldn’t drop
I hear your breath choking, on days’ long sobs
I feel your body shaking, wouldn’t stop
I know your heart bleeding, bearing the loss
Oh how can I ease your pain
That’s heavier than the mountain,
That’s deeper than the ocean
You tell, I find no hope for the weight to be lighter
I say, just believe, healing begins not much longer
So believe, my dear, and just wait
Then you will realize and you will see
He rests now in peace, he is set free
No more fighting, no more struggling
No more torturing, no more suffering
He exits the world of abyss
He enters the kingdom of heaven
There, he is serene as gentle breeze
He walks light as a feather fleets
He strokes your hair gently in your dream
And you hear his voice whispering in your sleep
“Be still, my child, do not feel dreary
I now live with peace, with no more query”
So believe, my dear, and just wait
The gentle breeze will come to brush your eyes
Then, your eyes blink, so the tears drop
And you breathe, to release the sobs
Now your body is calm, the shaking stops
And the wound starts to heal, the pain peters out
You remember him with love and sweetness
You speak of him with warmth and tenderness
You open your eyes and see him shining in sun rays
And you tell again, with corners of your mouth raised
“Daddy, I am fine, you rest in peace,
I will find you everywhere with my mind at ease.”
