May We Always Create Together
Might we return to clear, flawful epitomes of our past,
where feelings bloomed into unoccupied realities,
worlds where we roamed, explored, traversed in our seditious verse…
Where conviction engraved our rivals’ lips with lightning bolts of silver,
raiding their muddled hills with the chaos of our creations,
daring to beguile, snatch, and dissolve, all misjudged resolve…
Were I to grab hold of the passion you once called Father,
were I to fill your brittle ribs with the epiphanies you have long let lost,
our words would tread along the broken, the troubled and the scorned
melting the creases of anger from every weary brow
challenging and regenerating the one you are now…
