Note: on a walk with the dog I found a graveyard, wrote a poem. Left the graveyard, will continue to write poems. Hopefully the next one will be about a tea shop. I didn't bother checking if there is one in this village though. ---
There is no chance at all I'd have an unmarked grave It's all about show Is that the mark I've made? She appeared from the outside Looking in A promise of perfection Unblemished by sin I'm the living bones The ground does await A future promised A definite fate But I'm afraid I want To tell someone to f off Perhaps under my breath Masked by a cough Because I've never been perfect Or meant to give that impression But I've spent 21 years Learning no lesson Slowly etching the headstone Word by word Whilst my request to live Is never heard Without you Will I live half a life Frowned upon perhaps If I'm not a wife Throwing away The best of the lot Unknown future Lonely burial plot I'm quite tempted To give it a go At least then my future I can say I don't already know

My friend, this is a beautifully composed sad poem. One always questions what the future holds for us. Your verses did that so very well. A fav.. God bless.
