Masked

On a sunny day, With city under quarantine! I felt uneasy, dizzy, Bitter cold and unwell. Tiring silence anywhere around… A test resulted positive, Made me a wanted fugitive. My vision went blurry When doctors and soldiers, Had given a shot of diazepam, And took me under control! When I opened my eyes, My brain shook with daze, As it felt like a maze, With masked people’s craze, Just in their incubation phase, Going through those awful days! I saw her, In white scrub dress, With Tight and thicker mask and Tired and drowsy eyes. I had never seen anyone before, With such a strong voice of hope, A sweet voice to cope, At this situation to mope. Patients around me sneezing, I feel so cold and freezing, Her voice made few easing, While I felt it so pleasing! After a couple of week, My body becoming completely weak, And i started feeling sleek, I planned to tell my like as i speak. My doors creak, I took a peek, And saw her with a white coat geek. When they started to speak, I felt them as “words in greek”, But final words “ your disease is at peak” Made me a mental freak. I remember the last time i slept, Easing myself to rest forever! I didn’t think what will happen next! I will never see her again! Nor the disaster happening around! “Anything may happen next, just enjoy this moment! Dont wait for the next one!”
