The lilacs at Brandon Castle, or in Malmö, Sweden, are the unforgettable aroma of Spring! Enjoyed, Michelle! Aloha!

Michelle, all of your rhymes work in lovely aspects of winter being overtaken by spring. I liked "When lilac eyes of springtime wink" best. Your writing is always so fresh and original - I love that. Warm regards ~ John

U did it again Lady Michelle: 1. Pithy poem, pregnant with promises of birdsong, color & hope 2. You turn to my Page when readers leave like south-migrating fowl. Question: in New Hampshire, I looked for first crcuses. You? In Maryland & Virginia, the sunshinyvForsythia made my heart glow. It'll be a year before I return

I haven't been to the northeast, but we have a tree in front of our house that has barren branches all winter, but as the spring comes in, tiny pink buds start to appear, so that is what I look for! Thank you so much for your warm hearted comment, Anil, appreciate it deeply~

Oh, those 'lilac eyes!' Much better than 'Bette Davis eyes,' methinks. Here's to Spring! ~ Gershon
