Mama-One In a Million
She was much more than a beautiful Mother
Never desired to be anything other
Her family became her first priority
Her gift for teaching, she shared in charity
When times grew hard and Papa didn’t work
She never complained, but became the “cork”
Inventing ways to ease his strain
Baking, tutoring, her clever ways to stop the drain
My mind holds these snapshots of childhood days
My heart bears a journal of words she’d say
'Always remember that sacrifice is love.’
One in a Million, My Mama above!
