Make Truth Your Weapon

This is to all who suffer in silence
Upon reading every purposeful word,
Speak to me!
And I will live in you peaceably

If words must be delayed for your life,
Brush their essence upon my mind,
And in a moment, speaking for eons,
I will tie the truth onto your enemies
Till they are—in your glory— fatigued and blind

You hesitate, and you yearn
Others light your fires so you may burn
Who strikes the stone?
Who fights far after you are gone?

Bold and blue,
It is true I understand you
The weapons are laid out for your victory
Breathe them in
And exhale them upon the fiends
Teach them that their true rival is me!

I absorb every piece of pain
That cannot find expression or gain
We will filter the flaw into fervent fire
Bringing down the heartless who vow to never tire

So, the crusader of truth. Hey, what is this? The perspective here seems to be like a conscience or a person inside my head. It's another example of how you speak from so many places. Now, you are speaking from inside my head too. You are the multi-lingual poet trying to reach so many. Yet, it feels like you are just speaking to me alone. If that was the intent, you are simply a genius. I absolutely love reading something like this. You are the absolute master of verse my dear friend.

Thanks for being in my life, Duke...your praise makes me beam and fills me with happiness..if I only reach you or very few, then I am satisfied. The more the merrier though! When writing this, the words came so effortlessly... I love when that happens. My heart is often hesitant in other situations. ~Laura
