I've been away from Poetry Soup during this year, as I've been preparing and finalizing the manuscript for my second book of poetry, which should be released by my published during early 2020. Many Thanks Pashang!! I am very pleased that you liked my Tanka here!! I plan to do some new poems here in the future after I get my upcoming second book published. (Looks like my new book will probably published and released during early 2020, and it will more than 500 pages. I'll be glad when it's finally finished.) Many Thanks Ann!! I really appreciate your note!! I plan to write more poetry in the future. However, I am right in the middle of finalizing the manuscript of my second book for publication, which covers my poetry spanning 2014-2018. Once I get this new book published and on the way, I will be back full-force writing and posting once again. Formal publishing always takes time. Best Always, Gary

Hello Terry, Many Thanks for your very kind words here. I've found over the years that sometimes the Tanka or certain Dactyl poetic formats are ideal for certain themes that focus on one thing. I'm always experimenting with different formats even with poems I've not yet posted to Poetry Soup. I've been away too during year as I've been preparing my second book of poetry for upcoming publication. Cheers and Best Always, Gary

This poem is my last poem for this year. And, I will be away from Poetry Soup for a few months into the new year, as I prepare my second book of poetry manuscript for publication during Spring 2019.
