Magical and Sweet
The lake was quite refreshing
And my grandson loves to swim,
But I don’t like the water
So my husband went with him.
The deep part was enticing;
I watched nervously from shore,
Prepared to leave at any time
But Henry wanted more.
Their hour in the water
Looked like both were having fun,
A lovely way to spend
A summer day out in the sun.
The time we have with grandkids
Is both magical and sweet,
Although I must admit
That I am absolutely beat!
