Mad Jasper

She walked in beauty Spare and Sprite While all around her stopped and stared As if in awe at such a Sight But on she moved, oblivious She, To those that Stared but could not see, That now at last she could be free From Jaspers mad chicanery. She had a goal, that she would follow, To rid herself of that foul fellow That would right the wrong that Jaspers greed, To those she loved, and to whom she cleaved, Had caused such pain, and hurt her brother, If not for him then for her Mother, Mad Jasper must be seen to suffer. It was only the next day that she saw, That all her plans were made of straw, Mad Jasper had the right of might, And could with her win any fight. But then suddenly to her delight, He rang up and apologised, He’d been a fool and realised, He needed her more than any prize, And that the national lottery voucher, Which she had bought when he was with her, Was her’s to keep if she would only, Give him back, his walkman Sony. She thought and weighed the cost and balance They had won ten pounds in the game of chance, The player was worth considerably more, She just text back, go away you bore, Revenge is sweet, she had dealt the blow, That brought the bad Mad Jasper low.
