Lullaby to Menage

at the foot of a mountain
on the outskirts of heaven
an excavation
unearths remnants of bliss

empty coffers
in pools of plasma
failed to open or close
our hearts at this
poignant juncture

three little angels
huddle by the fire
their wings refuse
to give flight

as the piper's fife
serenades us all

"as the piper's fife serenades us all" -- Love that! We do often the dance of higher power.
