Lucky 8
The first time I saw you I had followed your blazing trail
that your fleeting figure of eight furrowed in my heart.
Beguiled, I began to madly adore you from the start,
the paragon of beauty your pulchritude never became frail.
Many years later it was an unpleasant revelation for me
when you had revealed you were under a spell of discomfort,
for to make you mine I had in an obtuse way made the effort.
It didn’t matter, in my heart the aura of your charisma I still see.
