Reading the poetry of Lucilla Carrillo, I’m blessed as I’m exposed to the God she believed in; and vicariously, I have experienced the joy that engulfed her in her sweet relationship with the Saviour Jesus Christ. Likewise, I’m edified, as well as inspired to express my earnest faith in the Lord, as she did through her poems. The poem below which she posted on PS on March 17, 2012 exemplifies such: Jesus My Saviour J... Jesus I ask you today. E... Ease my pain. S... Save me, don't let me down. U ... Undo the bad that I have done. S... Share with me, your Kingdom. M... Make me new again. Y... You - I want to serve. S... Salvation, is what I seek. A... Abolish all my sins. V... Victorious at the end I want to be. I... Illuminate my life. O... Obedience to you I … I vow. U... Understand me Jesus, I plead. R... Remember me in My hour of need... 03/17/ 2012 By Lucilla M. Carrillo* *I am likewise grateful to Andrea Dietrich for making me get acquainted with the poetry of Lucilla M. Carrillo. June 30, 2020 1st place, "Back to Life" Contest Sponsored by Anthony Biaanco; judged on 10/14/2020.

Beata, I can see some of your writing style as I read this lovely poem of faith by Lucilla. I can understand why you would spotlight her in this contest, for you two appear to be soul sisters. Thank you sharing; I hope others have been able to view her works because of your choice. Grace and peace ~ John

Indeed you have made an excellent choice, Beata. Lucilla was a woman of faith, friendly and positive right to the very end. It was a true pleasure getting to know her. She has been missed. ~ Regards & blessings // paul
