Lucilla Carrillo's Jesus My Saviour
Reading the poetry of Lucilla Carrillo, I’m blessed as I’m exposed to the God she believed in; and vicariously, I have experienced the joy that engulfed her in her sweet relationship with the Saviour Jesus Christ. Likewise, I’m edified, as well as inspired to express my earnest faith in the Lord, as she did through her poems. The poem below which she posted on PS on March 17, 2012 exemplifies such:
Jesus My Saviour
J... Jesus I ask you today.
E... Ease my pain.
S... Save me, don't let me down.
U ... Undo the bad that I have done.
S... Share with me, your Kingdom.
M... Make me new again.
Y... You - I want to serve.
S... Salvation, is what I seek.
A... Abolish all my sins.
V... Victorious at the end I want to be.
I... Illuminate my life.
O... Obedience to you
I … I vow.
U... Understand me Jesus, I plead.
R... Remember me in My hour of need...
