Love's Promise
Since You granted me eternal redemption’s assurance
Along Your gracious mercy’s endurance…
I yield my life to You, esteeming You with faith’s forbearance.
Such, Lord, is my commitment’s perseverance:
The soulful whisper of love's promise...
...midst grateful exuberance.
Since You rescued me from peril's uttermost,
Leading me to Your heart against being hopelessly lost…
I dedicate my all to serve You, whatever the cost.
Enable me, Lord, to fulfill with the might of the Holy Ghost:
The soulful whisper of love's promise…
...for You, my hope’s sturdy post.
Since You made me Your heir experiencing Your compassion
Because of your sacrifice along Your condescension…
I surrender my heart to You, reaching-out with heavenly vision.
Uphold me, Lord, to enact this covenant as my mission:
The soulful whisper of love’s promise…
...to others through ministry’s extension.
Since You called me as messenger of Your loving kindness
Declaring the Gospel despite my confessed weakness…
I entrust my commitment to You, guarded by Your faithfulness.
Direct me, Lord, in my vow’s* steadfastness:
The soulful whisper of love's promise…
...as I follow You toward peace blissfulness.
*Deuteronomy 23:21 When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
