Love's Pain

They danced, as the flames licked his skin, Red-hot branding irons, a mangled wire mesh. They slowly pressed them in, To His already flame blistered flesh. The blackness in the cold wet dungeon, Was thick that you could touch. But by his screams and the stench of his flesh, The blackness did not hinder them that much. His screams enticed and excited them, As they encouraged more to the dance. And those that came afflicted him, Their knives slicing him at every chance. Louder were his screams, Which almost drove him insane. This is what he felt like, Broken hearted and rejected by loves pain,

Darkness is beautiful everytime in my opinion. This exceeds the beauty of dark and strays ahead into just plain freaking BRILLIANT!!! Love this piece!

Very nicely written dark poetry. You bring out the darkness well. Very scary if you dwell on it too long.
