Candles were lit in a night of magical mystery
and love's majesty
where their flame danced to our surrender
from the fragrant bloom of desire
silently offered with a soft breath of emotional enchantment
cradled in the welcome arms of sensual serenity
when our hungry mouths met
where the dewy eyes of ardor burned
and the lost time of rhythmic sighs
were heard with each embrace of enduring intimacy
tasted on the lips of euphoria
releasing our soul's passionate tethered tempest
found in the weightlessness of velvet-brushing kisses
which left us in awe
to the harmonic symphony of fervor
pouring from our hearts as a gift
offered as a shared rhapsody
when each candle melted
leaving a dim-lit light of embracing shadows
falling into the night
