Once I had gold, but now I only have dust. - Peter Dome.

Miss you so much Diane, Come back and finish what you started

I'd wait forever just for you X.

(The girl in the picture is not Diane But looks like her)

Looking back on when we were Young so long ago It's so sad When I think of all the things we had And magical things we used to do Fate and providence Brought us together Fate and providence tore us apart I gave you the world And you took my heart so true Forever and ever it belongs to you No one has ever made feel so alive And the happiest to And I'm still hopelessly in love with you We used to write our names in a heart drawn in Sand Forever and ever You'd be my girl I your man You made feel like a giant when I held your hand Suddenly everything made sense And I could understand You opened up the garden gate Behind walls hidden for just us two Painted the flowers in beautiful colours That I never knew Lost in a spectacular dream come true The sun smiled down And my heart did too Stopped the rain and cleared the dark sky too Giving the clearest view The story in your smiling beguiling twinkling eyes Told the truth That's why I fell for you In my dreams, I'm desperately searching As I try to find you Visiting the places that we once knew So close I can almost feel your sweet breath Upon my face And in a secret place I ask passing people if they know you And where I can find you They always say they don't know And don't have a clue But I keep on searching all night Waking up in the morning Switch off the bedside light Tear wet pillow and a picture of you I held so tight In the album of my heart That I keep under lock and key For eternity Every day is another step back Into the shadows of yesterday My heart breaks apart As I wrote this last letter I pulled From the fountain of my heart That I gave you And only to you You may never read my letter But I had to release the pain The punches to the heart Just too many feelings And things heavy on my troubled mind They say time is the healer But is a thief And gives no relief The only time I was happy Is when I was with you Comparing every girl with you Who reminded me of me of the things you'd do But no one came close And my heart took an overdose Gone is the summer we never wanted to end This was real true love And I never got over you I used to send you flowers And so many love letters And you wrote back My flowers will have lost their petals and perished So long ago What happened to those love letters I sent I'll never know I try to forget you But I can't let go Showered you with love and affection And such devotion and tenderness We were blessed We were one Birds of a feather And together we built a cosy nest My devotion was deeper than any ocean Tother our waves were so strong I have never been happy since that day And you took my breath and heart away Do you ever for a moment think of me And in the movie in your mind You dewing and play Taking you back to yesterday I hope everything is going right for you And someone is making you happy As I used to do The gap between us seems like a star far away But maybe just maybe I'll see you on the other side.

an emotional poem that explored the regions in one's heart and mind when a relationship ends. Your words are heartfelt and as a reader I couldn't help but empathize. I especially liked: Gone is the summer we never wanted to end This was real true love And I never got over you Your poem touched my heart...thanks for sharing & have a great day, Sara

Your is a poignant reflection on the complexities of love and loss, capturing the profound impact of a past relationship on the poet's heart and soul. Through its lyrical prose and heartfelt sentiment, the poem invites readers to empathize with the universal experience of longing for what was lost, yet holding onto hope for what may come. I hope Diane comes back to you..
