Busy day, heavy gray clouds
Hang low, moisture laden
Ready at a heartbeat to empty
It's cold, wet load weighted and
Raindrops start falling, heavy and free
Those drops fall and run fast
Upon saturated earth's red
Clay, wondering if it has passed?
No, it hasn't passed, charcoal clouds hang
Waiting to pour 'pon earth again
Will the earth be loaded at the first freeze
A deep-freeze winter reign?
Will the tears become frozen
As weeping of praying
Christians long for a return to
Righteousness and for its staying ?
The rain flows, pours once more wetting rain
Because it bounces 'pon streams
Runs over puddles, leaves, and rocks
Every inch is soaked so it seems
Wet pages upon the Bible
Underlined in colors
Tear soaked looking for answers but____
When did man become their own lovers?
