Lovely Bones

Just saw this movie today Lovely Bones. OH,my, it is the poet's dream, beautiful and lyrical 
in its message of life and death. I urge you all to go see it. Composed this little triolet on my 
way home from seeing it. I find triloets work so well to sum up inspirational movies! 


(inspired by the movie)

The lovely bones make life complete,
Those sweet connections in each life.
Though all meet death and time be fleet,
The lovely bones make life complete,
We find in them our joy replete.
The strength we lean on through our strife -
The lovely bones make life complete,
Those sweet connections in each life.

Darren White January 31, 2017 at 10:57 AM I know the film. Saw it three times, and I agree it's poet's delight. Tender. Frightening. This triolet is as gentle as the main character and story.

And I'm in high school, i just take one college level senior class. and im a lot of things, but yes i am of native american heritage. and on your poem, it reminded me also of a dream i had last night of the movie. it was strangely funny. Susie didn't die, she kept coming back to life over and over. and she was riding on a bike with Ray, making him laugh with her strange but funny jokes.... Lynette
