Legacies of love in their wake,
For ideals they could not forsake.
When this dance of life is passe,
Near God, pure sunrise ballet!
This ageless wind, so fanciful;
Lifts history's pages, so fateful!
The now silent lovers of Destiny,
In mysterious night are absentee.
Statues and monuments in the park,
Bring sweet memories after dark!
The lingering scent of each flower
Will never, ever lose its power!
On every street of the sunset,
Ever larger do they tend to get.
Bathed in sunshine in our minds,
Though backward now the clock winds.
They opened doors to unseen rooms,
And lit the fires of lasting fumes,
And memory is the sweetest wine,
For your name was legend, and so was mine.
