Danny loves CJ
he'll tell her
in as many ways he can
he'll ask her out
he'll twist her arm
and be as sweet as pie
he'll be quite charming
the loyal friend who
won’t betray her trust
Danny will do much more
while knowing full well
they can't go on a date
it won’t happen
and Danny knows
all the reasons why
yet he'll keep asking
and that is part
of Danny’s charm
so CJ and Danny have
in fact tasted the fruit of
the forbidden relationship
it’s just not how Danny would like
it’s not consumed yet in the open
it’s there beyond his grasp
he talks, they flirt
but she won’t budge
she smiles under her tough façade
he gets to tell his flame
bits of what he feels and hopes
she’ll never fall for any other guy
there will come a day
when things will be different
nothing lasts forever
that’s when finally nothing
will stand in their way
and true love need prevail
