Love and Pain, Vampire, Edvard Munch
I hold you ~
in wine rose reveries
in every waking sigh
amidst the cruel
cadmium coldness
peeling away the paradox
of veiled vulnerability
like wordless fervor
where the medieval marbles
of your molten metal aura
reside close to
the vermilion vibratos
of my violin heart
for the voice of this ache
skips an octave above
the hypnagogic heaviness
of our hushed haven,
illustrated
with bloodstone indigo
as the epitome of
love and pain… air and ash
salt and rain
without an
intrusive interruption
you are tamed
to the vampire veins
dressed in the
deepest tales of darkness
a divine devotee to
my addictive despair
where scarlet scriptures
of wildflower flames
taste the aurora tears
echoing through
centuries of archaic odes
still entranced and entrapped
like twin-fires healing
through the
feverish heat of hurt....
O beloved calligrapher
of my eclipsed sky ~
fear not the fickleness
of fleeting nights...
we are the purity
that passing moons
shall never fathom
never would we be cast ablaze
we remain
engrossed in the essence
of earth-soaked soil ~
fragranced
with frankincense faith…
