Lotus Pond
By this old park
A certain spark
A touch of gold
A squirrel bold
A curious sight
In the dawn light
From tree to ground
A cautious round
Spying eyes search
Upon grass verge
The lotus pond
With blossoms fond
From murky deep
Bright floral steep
Lotus blooms sprout
A dazzling shout
I pass this way
Greet deeper day
